About the Organization


Your Role Description

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be playing the role of supporting and empowering people with disabilities in their living and/or community environment. We are looking for highly skilled individuals to work with our clients, professionally and compassionately. The job entails working with various shifts as our organization will provide care for 24 hours according to the requirement of the clients. The job also offers the flexibility of work hours and days according to the suitability of the worker.


Skills, Qualifications & Experience Mandatory Requirements
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • International Police Check (if applicable)
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Current driving license and reliable vehicle
  • Proof of working rights in Australia Preferred & visa Requirements
  • Covid 19 infection control training & PPE training
  • Fully vaccinated for Covid 19 vaccination
  • First Aid, including CPR
  • Manual Handling Certificate
  • Certificate3/4 in Individualised Support for Disability Services or Aged Care
  • Person-centred Values, including flexibility to work with families in the home environment. 
  • One-year previous Direct Care Experience is preferred and would be shortlisted first.
  • Medication administration assistance
  • Managing challenging behaviors
  • Good spoken and written English

Phone / Virtual Interview

You will be asked questions to find out a little bit more about you, your work history, hands-on support and your motivation for applying.

Mandatory Checks
You will need to supply two contacts for a reference check, a valid NDIS
Screening check and WWCC. We will also ask for copies of your qualifications, as well as all checklist documents, including Medication assistance training, First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling.
Orientation

You will be asked in more detail about your knowledge. Those who successfully pass the assessment go to the next step of the induction processes of a support worker. In the end, they will be given an employment contract to sign and a Company ID  card, provide information about Rostering system, time recording, shift reports.
